Whooo chile!  These here innanets exploded this afternoon!  Maaaaannnnn….I TOLD y’all in this post, that the whodikkery was out of control.  It started when my homeboy posted a status message that essentially said that he was tired of men and women posting  their Photoshopped lives, (c) CreoleInDC,  on Facebook- when they know good and damn well that they are openly engaging in f*cknuttery.

I’ve been waiting for someone to speak on it, but I never thought that it would be a man to pop open a bottle of Cristal Champale to pour all over his own boys (and girls). He mentioned all of the professional and candid photos that the ‘happy couples’ post and how they both mutually comment on each other’s statuses, while everyone of their friends tknows hat one member of the happy unit is banging dating  McNairing someone on their friend list.  It all came to a head when one of the commenter’s came in and put his trick action on BUH-LAST.  He said….

…that he really didn’t care about outing the woman of ill-reputethat he had ummm…. given the business to in her school’s office. Boyfriend #2 mentioned the school’s name and DARED her to come in and say it didn’t happen.  Funny thing was that he wasn’t upset over the fact that the woman chose to cheat with him.  The dude was more put out at the fact that the woman would post pics of her husband and family posing like the model wife knowing good and well that the woman’s husband prolly knew what his….er… ’spunk’ tasted like… #iCan’t…

While my homeboy’s status was bold (and messy) today and may have very well opened the gate’s of hell, I have been itching say the exact same thing that he did…with more tact. All whodikkery aside, with the popularity of social networking innocent people are being made a mockery of in front of potentially hundreds of people. It’s one thing when back of the day, the 15-20 people in the neighborhood know that Uncle Cletus went down to the jukejoint to ‘call’ on Mustang Sally every Thursday night, but now you have women and men being humiliated in front of the entire world.

I’ve experienced enough over the last few years to know that a lot of times pictures lie….and when you give people the platform to create their own story, they most often lie about that too.  It makes me wonder now, when I see the photo albums of dream vacations, family BBQ’s, Owen Mills portraits, galas, etc. – if the innocent men/women are THAT blissfully unaware of the deception taking place under their noses.    I used to think that they were, but now I’m not so sure.  Are they drawing a line in the sand, lifting up their hind legs to mark their territory to potential infiltrators or are they reminding their mate of the beautiful image that they’ve created?

Wow! That is way too much drama. I’d be loading my gun if I was the husband and I’d be after bf.

If the bf broadcast the cheating to the world that might be the end of that couple. Some people work through affairs, a lot of couples have open relationships. Her husband probably has a bf too.

The bf sounds like he might be a man scorned. I knew women got all outraged by their married man showcasing a happy family, but I thought men appreciated a drama less affair.

I wrote another post earlier about how eventually all hell was going to break loose. I’ve seen some crazy things on FB, but I NEVER thought that a man would be the one to set it off.

His response was nuts. I wish I could post it here. He even came back in a 2nd comment and corrected his grammatical errors.

The comments have since been deleted but I get them sent to my email like I’m sure many people do, so its definitely not over yet.

      • Ames says:

I don’t have the email comments. Everynow and again someone deletes one and I think I should set that back up.

      • SoJo says:

Everytime I think that I’m about to take the e-mail option off of my FB acct, some tiny piece of whodikkery pulls me back in!

That really sucks. I went through a situation where my ex hubby tipped out and the other chick acted totally crazy on the net and amongst our circle of “friends”. It’s a horrible situation to be put in.
I need adults to stop acting like a bunch of 8th graders.

I need adults to stop acting like a bunch of 8th graders.

This what makes social networking mediums like FB a blessing and a curse. It allows people to feel like kids again, by reconnecting w/ people from their past but then we start to see some of the same immature behaviors of our youth.

I’m REALLY sorry that you had to experience that mess.

I’d say they are raising up their hind legs.

    • SoJo says:

Yeah, I went with hind leg raising too. Problem is, some folks don’t mind the smell of pee!

  4. Honest says:

wow! I haven’t seen any craziness on FB but then again while some may think I “live my life on FB” I tend to disagree. I think everyone has a different reason for FB’ing. To me its a bit like censored blogging with 2 sentence blog posts. lol! For others its a way to stay connected and also show their “friends” all they’ve accomplished and what they have. Only problem is sometimes its all smoke and mirrors and what’s playing out in FB mirrors the real world. I’m sure that wife is the same outside of FB..perfect appearance and loving marriage even as she uhmmmm enjoys her BF.

    • SoJo says:

Since there are really only about 3 degrees of separation in our circles, I am always surprised to find out who knows who thru FB. It also means that some people’s mirrors have a capability of being shattered in a matter of seconds with a simple keystroke. Cyberspace is no joke.

  5. Tiffany In Houston says:

Scandalous!!!! Me and the best dude have had some convos about FB as well. He’s an open book by nature and I have had to remind him to be mindful.

    • SoJo says:

Yep. I get really skittish about my business being on FB and Twitter. Sometimes its really easy to want to share, but everybody that’s watching your goings and comings on those sites aren’t following because they have your best interests at heart.
