-clouds (white and dark grey), grass rolling for miles, trees that seem to blend into the sky, my nipples hardened by raindrop pelts, bugs landing on my skin, dark brown thighs, legs and toes
I HEAR…
-windchimes, birds singing separate yet melodious tunes, frogs adding a “ribbet” to the beat, the roar of a lone motorcyclist, the rhythm of my heartbeat, an air condition unit working overtime to earn its keep, the rumble of stream water, a dog barking in the distance
I FEEL….
the residue of sweat and rain on my skin, the imprint of the hammock where I fell asleep, the contentment of post-coital bliss (without the “coital” lol) and the heat of the southern sun, peaceful
I TASTE…
the syrup of morning pancakes, the salt from my shoulder as I lick the raindrops from my skin, the anticipation of homemade lemonade in the afternoon
I SMELL…
the rain hanging from the heavy clouds as they whip around for an encore appearance, wet grass, the leave-in conditioner helping to give my tight curls the appearance of manageable waves, smoke from a grill far off in the distance
I AM…
