“Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness and they live by what they hear. Such people become crazy, or they become legends…”
~One Stab: Legends of the Fall~
Today, I woke up with the phrase “BE GREAT!” on my mind. I rolled over and checked Twitter…shut up…you prolly did too (lol) and saw several posts:
From @WestWingReport:
On This Day. 1917: Leaving the White House, President Woodrow Wilson was hounded by women suffragists demanding the right to vote.
Some of the women were tossed in jail. They went on hunger strikes and were force fed. Wilson, appalled, agreed to their demands.
Wilson then agreed to back the 19th amendment. In 1920, it was passed, officially giving women the right to vote.
As I kept scrolling, I was reminded of this by @aisha1908:
Today marks the 47th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech #BlackAugust
It inspired me to post this:
On this day, in 2010, SoJo was AMAZING.
Fifty years from now…one hundred years from now, what will they say about you? #claimit #BEit #historyinthemaking
Then, I went downstairs, turned on the television and I heard the “legend” quote from the elderly Indian man from Legends of the Fall. My innervoice is speaking loud and proud…I’m listening…and I don’t feel the slightest bit crazy. Must mean that I AM BEcoming…legendary.
Have a “GREAT” weekend, fam!!
